Personalised Love Song – Emma & Daniel
Here’s How We Turn Your Story Into a Song
After you order, we’ll ask you to share your story — just like this. Here’s a real example of what customers send us, and the song we created from it.
Dear VDSignstickers,
I would love a song about my relationship with Sophie and everything that brought us to the day we’re getting married.
We first met six years ago at Sheffield train station. I was rushing to catch a train after work when I realised I’d left my wallet at the coffee shop outside the station. I ran back to get it, only to find Sophie standing there holding it. She had picked it up from the table and was trying to figure out whose it was.
She smiled and said, “I think you’re going to need this.”
I thanked her, and we started talking. I ended up missing my train completely. At the time I was annoyed about it, but looking back, missing that train was probably the best thing that ever happened to me.
Our first proper date was supposed to be dinner, but it started raining so heavily that we ended up walking through the city sharing one tiny umbrella. We got soaked anyway and spent the rest of the evening laughing about it. Sophie still says that was the best first date she ever had.
A few months later we took our first little holiday together to Cornwall. We got lost on the way to St Ives, ran out of petrol, and ended up eating chips on the beach while watching the sunset. It wasn’t exactly a perfect holiday, but it became one of our favourite memories.
Over the years we’ve shared so many little things — our first flat, adopting our crazy little dog Milo, late-night takeaway dinners, road trips with terrible singing in the car, and all the ordinary evenings that somehow became special because we were together.
There were difficult times too. When I lost my job, Sophie stood beside me and told me we’d figure it out together. And when her mum became ill, I tried to be there for her in every way I could. We’ve learned that love isn’t just about the big romantic moments. It’s about staying when life gets difficult.
Two years ago, I proposed to Sophie on the beach in Cornwall, in the same place where we’d watched that first sunset together. I had planned everything perfectly, but when I got down on one knee, I completely forgot what I wanted to say. I ended up laughing, crying and saying something like, “Sophie, will you please spend the rest of your life putting up with me?”
She said yes.
Now we’re getting married, and I want this song to feel like the story of us — from that missed train in Sheffield, to the rainy first date, the crazy road trips, Cornwall sunsets, Milo, the difficult days, and finally the moment when we promised to spend the rest of our lives together.
I don’t want it to sound like a generic wedding song. I want Sophie to hear it and recognise our life in the lyrics.

Lyrics
[Verse 1]
I was running through Sheffield, trying to make that train
With a head full of worries and a day full of rain
Then I found my lost wallet in somebody’s hands
And there you were smiling, making different plans
You said, “I think you’re going to need this”
And I don’t know why, but I couldn’t leave
I watched that train disappear down the line
Never knowing I’d just found my lifetime
[Pre-Chorus]
Maybe some roads aren’t meant to run straight
Maybe some moments are written by fate
I thought I was late, I thought I’d missed my way
But missing that train brought me to you that day
[Chorus]
So here’s to the train I never caught
To every little moment I never thought
Would lead me here, standing next to you
Through everything we’ve been through
From rainy streets to Cornwall skies
From broken plans to sunset nights
If I had to live my whole life again
I’d still miss that train
I’d still choose you, my love, again
[Verse 2]
One little umbrella, two people getting soaked
Laughing in the rain at every silly joke
Then Cornwall came, and we lost our way
Ran out of petrol, but we stayed all day
Fish and chips beneath the evening sun
Watching the waves when the day was done
It wasn’t perfect, but somehow I knew
Those little imperfect moments belonged to you
[Pre-Chorus]
Then came our first home, then came little Milo
Late-night conversations, nowhere else to go
Road trips and singing completely out of tune
Every ordinary night became our favourite room
[Chorus]
So here’s to the train I never caught
To every little moment I never thought
Would lead me here, standing next to you
Through everything we’ve been through
From rainy streets to Cornwall skies
From broken plans to sunset nights
If I had to live my whole life again
I’d still miss that train
I’d still choose you, my love, again
[Bridge]
When the world got heavy, you held my hand
You said, “We’ll get through this, we’ll make another plan”
And when your world was hurting, I stayed by your side
Because love isn’t leaving when the easy days hide
Then on that Cornish beach, beneath the evening glow
I got down on one knee, but forgot what I should say
I laughed through the tears and asked you somehow
“If you can put up with me, will you marry me now?”
[Final Chorus]
And here’s to the train I never caught
To every twist and turn that brought us to this spot
From Sheffield streets to Cornwall seas
You became my home, you became my dream
Through every high and every low
There’s nowhere else I’d rather go
And if I had to live my whole life again
I’d still miss that train
I’d still find you
I’d still choose you
Again and again
[Outro]
So let that old train disappear down the line
Because the greatest journey became yours and mine
And wherever this life takes us from here
I’ll love you through every mile, every year
And voilà!
